Good Afternoon All, A problem identified by Bodo, DJ9CS, and confirmed by Mike Collins requires a change in the QSD/QSE switches recently shipped with SoftRock kits. The TI SN74CB3253CDR MUX/DEMUX provided in kits does not function properly above 25 MHz. Any kits that includes 10m operation will require a change to the Fairchild FST3253MX.
If you have received a SoftRock kit that is to be used above 20m, (to be safe), please check the 3253 parts supplied with that kit. If you did not receive the FST3253 part(s) with your kit, please send me an e- mail with your mailing address and a count of the number of FST3253 parts needed. I have FST3253MX devices on order and should be able to send out needed parts right away at no cost to the kit buyers.
