Hi Chris,

Sometimes R6 is needed to lower the threshold at Q2 so it will switch properly.
The value is not critical and in some cases a value as low at 12 k is helpful.
Try the 22 k and check to see if U2 is clocking properly.

Subject: [softrock40] SR Lite for 455 khz part question

  Hi Guys,

I have built my SR Lite for 455 khz but I have a question regarding
R6. Can someone confirm that the correct value is 12.1 K ohms? I see
that on the sheet that was included in my kit but I did not get a 12.1
K resistor in my kit, and I had a 22 K resistor that I did not end up
using that was included. I just wanted to make sure that an
improvement hadn't been made and 22K being the substitute. I can use
a 12K 5% unit from my resistor drawer if 12.1 K is indeed correct.

  Thanks!

  Chirs
