I was sitting at home listening to a classical book on audio and surfing the web trying to find and answer to a problem on the web site when out of the blue came a lightning bolt that was really close. A multitude of sparks jumped from the outlet to my bench which is a foot away.
I guess I was trusting my power protection system when the thunderstorm started rolling in but it appears my Sola Magnetic Isolators did their trick and no damage was done to any of my three computers that were on and powered by the very outlet that had the sparks combing out. They didn't even re-boot. Oops it happened again, no sparks this time but the lights went out for a second, it was pretty close. Good thing my radios are not connected to power or an antenna, I'll check them later. Just having fun in the MidWest, all is normal.
