Thank you for this, Alan. Encouraged by your comment, I looked for (and found) a 16-position encoder switch by Graybar that is available for a fairly reasonable price. It appears to provide all of the codes necessary to control the Xtall through the DIP switch socket, and it should be easy to control BPF relays with a few diodes.
