Hallo Tony,

I have 10 pieces of 74ACT74 with the maximum clock frequency of 210 MHz. The
one supplied with your v8.3 (74AC74) has a maximum clock frequency of 160 MHz.

If I use the 74ACT74, it should be possible to receive also 50 MHz band. I
tried one of this with the board SI570 DWB6 DHW and the flip flop has worked
till 220 MHz.

Do you think it is possible to use it in your v8.3 Lite+Xtall kit? in this way
it should be possible to have a very broadband receiver from 1MHz to 50Mhz.

Do you think that I will can have problems?

Thank you for your help and compliments for your work

Regards
IZ3BOA
Francesco

Oggetto: Re: [softrock40] V8.3 Lite+Xtall kit now sold out

A number of people have expressed an interest in
additional v8.3 Lite+Xtall kits being made available. This morning I have
placed an order for a second group of the v8.3 circuit boards. Additional
v8.3 circuit boards should come in on or slightly before June 30 so new kit
orders will be filled the first week of July.

Kit prices will remain the same at $26 for
US/Canada and $27 for DX orders where the kit does not include a CMOS
Si570. If a CMOS Si570 is included the kit price with be $42 for US/Canada
and $43 for DX orders.

Thanks and 73,
Tony KB9YIG

Subject: [softrock40] V8.3 Lite+Xtall kit now sold out

Good Afternoon All,

The last few v8.3 Lite+Xtall kits were packed today and now all 200
kits have been sold. All v8.3 kit orders through June 10 have been
included in the present run of kits.

I feel the v8.3 Lite+Xtall offers reasonably good receiver performance
at less than $5 per band and is the most cost effective SoftRock
receiver kit on a per band basis of any of the kits.

If there is enough interest I would be willing to go a second round on
the kit. Please let me know what you think about another run of the
kit.

Thanks and 73,
Tony KB9YIG
