*J OB DESCRIPTION – *Adobe Flex *Developer *
*BACKGROUND *
*UBS Client Services & Research *is looking for Adobe Flex software
developers to write code for web-based applications. We are looking for
well-rounded developers who know how to create robust high-volume production
applications, and can also develop prototypes quickly. You should have a
good understanding of, and practical experience with, web application
development. All team members must have strong analytical and
troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding, good communication skills, and
most of all enthusiasm for tackling complex problems.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *
• Design & Development of Flex components and JavaScript components.
• Good design skills, experience with unit testing tools such as QTP.
• Participate in code/design-reviews, build & release process
• Work with other groups within the firm in order to integrate
*REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE *
• At least 5 years of *Adobe Flex/ActionScript/JavaScript *experience
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
concepts.
• Ability to write high performance systems.
• Hand-on experience on Flex specific .
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and detail-oriented problem diagnosis.
• A team player and strong problem-solver to work with a team of other
software developers, project managers, business analysts and QA analysts.
Participation in code review, build, release and deployment process.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to present software design using class diagrams and sequence
diagrams.
*PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE*
• Proficiency in Unix or Perl scripting.
• Web services frameworks like apache axis2.
• Experience in Spring Framework is a big plus.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 5+
*MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION BSc*
*FIELD OF STUDY Software Engineering / Computing Science *
