Required skills:
· This role is for an Ion services analyst within the Application
Support Group (ASG).
· This group is for a web-based trading and analytics application
being built within CLIENT's Fixed Income Trading group.
· The Ion support group is responsible for end-to-end support of the
production environment including
· Documentation of the Ion environment, processes and procedures
· Management of Ion releases from alpha to prod
· Management of Ion environments from test to prod
· Incident management of Ion issues
· Implementation of best practice, change management processes and
procedures relating to the Ion environment.
· The successful hire will play a key role in delivering and
managing time critical Ion projects within the development lifecycle.
· Provide point Ion knowledge resource for all members within the
development team, to ensure successful development of the Matrix franchise
and product.
· The role requires excellent communication skills with the ability
to talk with both technical and non-technical staff.
*Skills Required :-*
· Minimum 3 Years supporting Ion front office products (MMI/Poskeep)
· Minimum 3 Years experience of supporting CS/Daemon platforms in
global configurations
· Excellent knowledge of Ions D2C protocol and API
· Experience of developing and documenting support processes
· Good understanding of TCP/IP
· Proven troubleshooting skills in a support environment
· Analytical working style
· Excellent client communication skills
· Strong sense of commitment and drive towards problem resolution
· Professional ownership of all Ion issues from inception to
conclusion
· Team player
· Experience of work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
*Skills Desired *
· Financial industry experience, preferably with front-office
systems, including Bond math and pricing.
· Web application and infrastructure support experience
· Familiarity with network topologies including firewalling, NAT
· Familiarity with popular RDBMS (Sybase/DB2)
· Experience of scripting languages (Perl/Tcl/Shell)
