Required Skills: - Red Hat RHCE certification (3 -5 years experience) - Proficient Communication skills - Ability to architect and implement Linux solutions Desired Skills: -Ability to influence others, particularly at CIO/CTO level, driving positive change via innovation and thought leadership among both clients and peers alike -Advanced degrees in computer science. -Candidate should have extensive knowledge in both Windows and Linux operating system. A firm understanding of the following is required: Multi-protocol security and authentication platforms, such as LDAP, Enterprise Active Directory, Secure HTTP and PAM Expertise and experience in MS ADAM and MS MIIS knowledge. -Centrify DirectControl. -Expertise in Unix Networking and Linux file system management and a firm grasp of Linux internals with a concentration in Redhat Enterprise Linux, including RHEL5 virtualization -Expertise in Linux Security. Ability to manage Red Hat rpms. -Familiarity with EMC Storage technology. Solid understanding of NFS/CIFS/NIS with file sharing across multi-protocol environment. Applicant needs ability to understand and implement SAN technology. This includes luns, hba cards and drivers, EMC Powerpath and Logical Volume Manager. -Expertise in Oracle RAC Clustering technology -Advanced shell script writing Complete job description: Ability to analyze system performance metrics and make recommendations Position is a senior technical member of an international team of System Administrators. Team members are located in Wellesley, Ma, India and Mexico. Applicant must have proficient writing and verbal communication skills. Must have good documentation skills and some Project Management ability. Applicant must be a self-starter requiring minimal direction. Position involves deployment of custom-built applications in a large Red Hat Enterprise environment. This administrator will be involved with production support, as well as maintaining development environments for the benefit of in-house development units. Applicant must be willing to participate in the teams 7 x 24 support for this environment. The technical environment consists of HP Proliant servers running Red Hat Linux. Blade technology is currently being evaluated. Storage consists of EMC Symmetrix, Clarion and NAS devices in a SAN topology. Other EMC and FalconStor technologies are currently being evaluated. Applicant must have ability to analyze and implement new technologies.
