* * * * *Technical Writer* *Location: Scranton, PA* *Duration: 9 months, with possible extension* Primary Skill Sets: Technical Writer - ability to write succinctly, with high level of articulation. Great attention to detail is necessary. Understanding of VB6 is a plus. Must have a basic understanding of databases as well as thorough understanding of distributed applications. Level: Senior *Roles/Description of Services:* 2 Technical Writers are needed for documenting current state of a homegrown enterprise application. Will document what comes into this system, what transactions happen, how the application works, what happens with the application once the transaction occurs and what happens with that data. Templates will be provided. Resource must have skills to write succinctly, be articulate through written communication and have a great attention to detail. Should have experience documenting applications, documenting functional specifications of an application, documenting a service, an interface, and a function. Having an understanding of *VB6 is a plus*. It iscritical that deliverable dates are met without roadblocks. People skills Interview Skills Strong oral communication skills Strong writing skills, ability to write clearly and concisely. Proficient *at MS Office, specifically Word and Excel*.
