Software Test QA Engineer Job Description Review customer and functional requirements and make sure that the requirements are testable and complete with no conflicting requirements. Improve quality of software by developing and executing test cases that conform to defined functional specifications and design documents. Log defects with the proper severity/priority based on risk and impact to the feature under test. Responsible for producing all Quality Engineering documentation (test plan, test protocol, test report, traceability matrix and defect reports) in accordance with the quality system requirements for Radiology Informatics. Improve QE processes/procedures to assure adherence to standards and FDA requirements. Requirements Candidate should have all of the following: • Installation & configuration of Windows 2000 & Windows 2003 (preference is on Windows 2003) • Installation & configuration of SQL server 2000 & 2005 (preference is on SQL 2005) • Installation & configuration of IIS. • Windows 2003 Active Directory • Able to do Microsoft SQL server queries • Hands-on experience with backend hardware including RAID (preferably IBM) but other brand is fine too. • Hands-on experience testing enterprise web software • Dicom Additional skills that will set you apart include: • IBM Tivoli • IBM Director • Shavlik • Legato High Availability • Enterprise Virus scanning software (McAfee preferred) • Medicalis • HL7 • Merge • CORBA • Some networking particularly TCP/IP • VMWare • Minimum 3-Yr System Administration experience.
