SOA Test Analyst Job Summary & Responsibilities: The SOA Test Analyst has experience with SOA implementations and is able to perform the job under limited supervision. Additionally, the selected candidate may be responsible for medium-large projects, or several small parallel projects. The SOA Test Analyst may be required to provide direction on how SOA test efforts are designed and executed, ensuring adherence to defined process and providing analysis and recommendations against gaps. Key Responsibilities: • Participate as a member of a cross-functional Agile development team • Design and execute data driven tests against isolated and integrated Internal and Web Services • Create/update test cases as delegated/required; automate test cases using commercial SOA test tools. • Utilize in-house test tool kits and commercial testing applications (SOATest or similar, MS SQL, Ruby/WATIR, Putty/SSH, bug tracking tools, test reporting tools, JAVA fixtures, etc.) • Analyze application test failures and assist development staff in debugging (parse automated test logs, application logs, application stack traces and exception reports) • Track and report on test results • Review and provide input into project charters, business requirements, UMLs, Service Specifications, etc. • Attend daily scrums, project meetings, and department meetings as required • Provide input into SDLC process improvements, practices, tools and methods • Liaise with Development, Product Management, Project Management, Release Management, Business Analysts, DBAs, Infrastructure, and other project teams as required • Create or provide input into test plans and test estimates for any given project • Input into risk mitigation tactics and strategies • Communicate defect issues in a concise, timely and professional manner • Participate in manual and automated test peer reviews Qualifications: • Undergraduate degree or equivalent post-secondary education • 4+ years experience in the IT industry and specific job experience in QA • 1+ years of testing in an SOA over BPM environment • 1+ years of Web testing experience • Working knowledge of MS SQL or Oracle • Working knowledge of SOA implementations • Working knowledge of Middleware and BPM software solutions • Solid understanding of QA principles and the software development lifecycle • Solid understanding of and experience in black box testing, white box testing and grey box testing • Preparation of formal test plans, test cases and bug reporting • Perform bug reporting using an automated bug tracking tool • Test data gathering experience using reporting tools or query languages • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent teamwork skills • Ability to quickly ramp up on and apply new technologies and processes Desired Skills: Desired Skills: • Experience with Financial Systems • Formal software test training or test certification • Automation test tool experience • Experience with Tibco EMS and iProcess BPM • Experience with RUBY/ WATIR • Experience working in an agile development environment • One or more of the following types of testing: o Performance, Stress and Load testing using an automation tool o Security o SOA / EAI o Internationalization, Localization, Globalization o Wireless o Data Warehouse • Experience delivering software product demonstrations Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
