JR SQA Software Tester Position Description: The software tester will perform all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle testing activities, which includes but is not limited to all requirements analysis as it pertains to the development and maintenance of the Requirements Traceability Matrix, development of test cases, test defect reporting, and reviews. The tester will provide progress metrics weekly as requested by the PM. The software tester will perform the following duties: · Provide PM and Planner with test planning and execution estimates · Create and execute test plans, test cases and test reports · Enter defects or problems into the defect tracking tool · Follow up on reported defects and problems with testing · Provide PM and Technical Lead with summary report of SQA testing effort · Serve as point of contact to IV&V for testing of team product · Participate in Work Product Reviews Required Skills: * Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience. * The software tester should have at least seven years of testing experience with at least 5 years specific experience in: · Oracle Database · Ascential · Visual Basic · C++ · PL-SQL · SQL · UNIX/KShell · MS Office products · Windows Operating System · Object Analysis & Design Tools · Tuxedo (or similar middle-ware) · IBM Rational TeamTest (or similar testing tools) · Primavera TeamPlay project management software tool · Java · Perl · Installshield Desired Skills: Experience with large-scale Health IT system integration.
