Senior Quality Engineer Specific Duties: 1. Act as a technical liaison between the production plants, Corporate Quality Assurance, and National Accounts. 2. Analyze, interpret, and optimize plant process information for use in making process improvements. 3. Investigate, troubleshoot, and recommend equipment and process improvement techniques. 4. Perform as a project lead on assigned special projects. 5. Document work in regularly scheduled progress reports and final reports. 6. Summarize and effectively report test data. 7. Perform product testing and procedure writing. 8. Direct and coordinate the work of Quality Technicians, Specialists, and other project team members. 9. Train, direct, and coach Quality Technicians and Specialists in procedures, process, and equipment knowledge. 10. Perform or assist with process documentation. 11. Develop training programs in areas such as mathematics, statistics, technical writing, auditing, QC methods and inspection procedures. 12. Conduct Field Service Report investigations. 13. Perform and/or assist with internal product and process audits. Requirements and Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * A Quality Engineer certificate or no less than ten years of experience as a Quality Manager or equivalent position focusing on foam cup operations. * Ten years of experience with responsibility for product and process quality issues. * Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills. * Facilitation, training, and leadership skills in a Quality Department within the plastics packaging industry. * Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpretive skills including modern experiments and statistical protocols. * PC literacy with five years experience using word processor, spreadsheets, and statistical software. * Ability to work well in an individual or team environment and be self motivated and self directed. * Five years of experience in analyzing data, interpreting trends, and making recommendations based on data. * Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 75% of the time. * A valid driver’s license and favorable motor vehicle report. * Ability to obtain and maintain a passport. * Must have color acuity.
