Software Quality Assurance Engineer I Position Summary: Position Summary: At a basic level, this individual will be responsible for design and preparation of test-related documents and executes software quality assurance test runs. This position will require working with system engineering and development teams to develop integration and systems test plans, test cases and test procedures. Major Duties: Will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to: * Utilizes formal test and software quality assurance (SQA) methodologies and constructs test and network setups. * Writes functional systems and performance test plans and summarizing test cases from functional requirements * Reports significant bugs and tracks all bugs and project issues. * Analyzes test results from a technical standpoint and isolate bugs prior to escalating to the engineering department for fixing. * Perform formal software quality assurance (SQA) methodologies including requirements mapping and tracking, change control, test management, and bug tracking. Experience with Perforce, Jira, VersionOne, TestLink, CaliberRM, are all a plus. * Configure servers, hardware and software on host operating systems to run simulations and tests for Video on Demand software applications and development tools. * Operate systems and applications under strict controlled conditions * Perform configuration management matrix for both software and hardware associated with QA cycles. * Track test coverage and other metrics. * Contribute to the continuous advancement of current QA processes and maintain repeatable processes Requirements Qualifications Education: BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Experience · 0-3years related experience in an integration test capacity. · Knowledge of software architectures and all supported platforms (i.e., PC’s, PC Networks, UNIX). · Excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills.
