Senior QA Engineer (Network Services) Primary Responsibilities · Analyze requirement and design specifications. · Coordinate the development and execution of test plans. · Write /Review test plans and test cases for content, coverage, and adherence to department standards. · Monitor problem log status reports. · Participate in code reviews. · Evaluate projects under test for interdependencies and conflicts. · Provide recommendations or new tools and innovations designed to increase the performance and efficiency of the Quality Assurance department. Isolate, recreate, and report bugs, verify fixes, maintain the bug tracking system · Perform software releases · Verify Source Code control of releases · Develop feature areas in collaboration with software engineers · Contribute to feature planning and development Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience and skill-set: · API/Web Services testing knowledge is HIGHLY desirable · Leading browser software, including the latest versions of IE Testing web services using Jmeter is highly desirable (SOAPUI, SOAPSonar) · Extensive background in the field of quality assurance · 5+ years experience in software quality assurance in enterprise server software development and/or Microsoft Windows software applications developed in C#, ASP.NET · Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, in particular Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. Experience with Microsoft SQL a plus. · Expertise with QA processes, writing and executing test plans and test cases, maintaining bug database, verifying fixes, software releases · Very detailed and task oriented · Strong communication skills,in both verbal and written form. · Knowledge of Video and audio processing in Windows XP OS a plus. · Solid understanding of the software development and software quality lifecycles. · Demonstrated experience in applying a test strategy to the major components of a test cycle (including functional,system/integration, regression, performance, load/stress, and error handling). · Software version control tools. · Code tracing and debugging tools. · Automated Testing Tools (Silk/Rational/Mercury) · Networking infrastructures and communication protocols. · Database query tools, including the ability to write complex SQL queries · Client/server/database architecture · All Microsoft Windows, MAC OS X · Blu-ray/DRM exposure is nice to have.
