Senior Quality Assurance Engineer The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for overseeing Functional and System testing of the core Introscope product and will work closely with the QA Managers to drive testing of the product across a wide variety of environments encompassing the latest application servers, and databases across a wide variety of operating systems and hardware platforms. In addition to overseeing test case scoping, design, and execution, the Senor QA Engineer will also function as an individual contributor for particularly challenging projects and serve as a primary technical point of contact, and mediate software defects with Development. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and run specialized tests to observe product scalability, fault tolerance, stability and quality • Develop and run functional and integration tests to ensure that the features delivered in the product work correctly • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members • Set milestones, estimates for assigned tasks and deadlines based on that for testing projects • Make commitments internally and externally and ensure that they are met • Develop test plans Ensure on-time delivery of planned testing • Review Solution Specifications detailing product functionality • Estimate and scope System Testing from Solution Specifications and review team estimates • Ensure Test Case design and execution methodologies are technically sound • Continually increase the complexity and test coverage of System, Functional and Stress tests • Perform hands-on testing for complex features or on demand • Analyze defect queues for duplicate or inaccurate categorizations • Convey status in cross functional meetings in Manager’s absence • Troubleshoot problems with application server, database, operating system setup • Identify areas to improve testing efficiency • Drive the adoption of custom software testing tools to test the product • Develop new testing approaches to accommodate tight schedules and resource constraints Minimum Requirements: • 7+ years of QA and/or Performance Testing / Development • 3+ years team lead experience • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience • Strong knowledge of System Testing • 3+ years white box testing, preferably java applications • 2+ years of object oriented software development • Outstanding attention to detail • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) • Strong Windows and Unix background • Strong knowledge of automation tools, especially SilkTest • Ability to accurately identify software use cases and edge cases • Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems • Ability to develop a clear and concise testing strategy • Expert knowledge of web application design and testing • Strong knowledge of J2EE Technologies (e.g. JSP, Servlets, EJB, JDBC Drivers) • Considered a strong “plus” if the candidate has prior Java / J2EE development experience • Considered a strong “plus” if the candidate is familiar with .NET Technology: ASP.Net 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0, C#, Visual Basic, (C/C++ a plus, SQL Server 2000/2005 ), NUnit experience • Experience testing Multi tier Web Applications developed using the .Net Framework , VMWare Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
