Quality Assurance Engineer Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Develop, maintain and improve Software Quality Assurance system in accordance with ITIL processes 2. Review and stakeholder services requirements and design documents in order to write test cases that provide complete test coverage for Integration testing 3. Perform, consult or otherwise provide leadership or support for the verification and validation of software products and applications 4. Participate in software problem solving, requirements, architectural, design and code reviews and related software meetings. 5. Implement and coordinate software source code and change management activities 6. Perform other end-to-end development and administration of software systems that affect the Quality Record as needed 7. Engage in software quality assurance and testing process improvements. 8. Educates Software Developers and I/T Infrastructure on Quality Assurance Processes 9. Recommends new software products 10. Test plan design, development and execution in support of application releases. 11. Assist developers to troubleshoot and resolving issues. 12. Review specifications in order to develop test plans. Provide feedback to Business Analysts regarding any issues found in specifications 13. End- to-End Testing 14. Regression testing 15. Provide management reports regarding issues found in QA. 16. Set and enforce SQA strategy and supporting processes in accordance with our software development lifecycle 17. Required to learn all applications’ thoroughly 18. Development and maintenance of scripts to automate the testing process. 19. Works well with limited supervision, and reports status to project manager and/or manager 20. Other tasks as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Knowledge and working experience in international quality and regulatory standards • Manual Testing • Knowledge of relational databases • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written • Analytical skills and focus on detail and creativity are vital • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and concepts • Microsoft Office, Project, Visio Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience • ITIL Certification or the desire to become ITIL Certified • Experience and in-depth knowledge of writing Test Plans and Test Cases • Regression Testing • Experience testing Microsoft based, web driven applications. • Demonstrated experience in utilizing facilitation and brainstorming techniques • Demonstrated proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Microsoft Project, Visio and SharePoint Desired: • Experience with Data-Warehouse Testing and Validation desired • Experience with automated testing tools is desired • Experience with Powerbuilder, C#.Net, JAVA, PLSQL, Oracle, Subversion highly desired Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
