Senior QA Engineer

Description · Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams,
specifications, and/or formulas. · Working with Project and Design
Engineering to develop Acceptance Test Plans. · Works with Project and
Design Engineering to develop First Article Test Plans to meet
customer and regulatory requirements. · Works with Purchasing to
verify customer and regulatory requirement flow down. · Works with
Production in reference to Product Realization Planning for FMEA. ·
Prepares proposals to management for process and procedure changes for
continual improvement of the quality management system. · Provides
input into quality engineering reviews of design documentation for
compliance with requirements. · Conceives ideas and develops methods
to meet established objectives. · Communicates technical information
and concepts. · Works with appropriate departments in response to
quality issues. · Coordinates Corrective / Preventive action process
with appropriate departments, customers, regulatory authorities, and
suppliers. · Performs or oversees incoming, first article, and in-
process inspections. · Records, analyzes, and evaluates inspection and
test data. · Performs or oversees in-house calibration of test and
inspection equipment. · Serves as FAA Designated Manufacturing
Inspection Representative. · Provides internal auditing of Quality
Management System and its processes. · Keeps management informed of
quality issues and developments.

Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Engineering · Five years related
quality engineering experience in manufacturing environment ·
Knowledge and experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and
AS9100. Additionally, FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA)
Fabrication Inspection System (FIS) experience preferred. · Ability to
work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and
trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. ·
Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and database software ·
Certified Quality Engineer preferred · FAA-DMIR or ability to attain
within one to three years
