Software Quality Assurance Technician II

• Requires 4-year degree in Computer Science or related area

• 3-4 years experience working in a software environment, of which at
least 3 must be directly involved in the verification or QA of
software.

Or

• Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and
experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge,
skills, and abilities

• Firm understanding of software product lifecycle and QA methodology.

• Firm understanding of software testing methodologies and best
practices.

• Experience writing test plans and cases.

• Experience with several types of testing including regression,
acceptance, functional, compatibility, etc.

• Experience writing test plans and cases from design specifications
for moderately complex systems.

• Experience using MS Office.

• Experience in estimating testing level of efforts.

• Experience mentoring associate level QA team members.

• Strong business skills including the following: documentation,
presentation, interpersonal, and communication.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

• Strong planning and organizational skills.

• Ability to interact with Relational Databases at an advanced level

• Experience writing SQL statements for testing purposes.
