Software Development Engineer in Test The person chosen for this position will have the opportunity to contribute their creative ideas and energy to several of the Kindle Technology group's projects and related initiatives, working closely with other technical teams. Duties include design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of test automation programs, the creation of software tools used to perform build verification and regression tests and driving the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies. * Minimum of 3 years of software testing experience, level will be determined upon interview. * Computer Science or similar degree. * Expert level Java (C++ helpful) * Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby * Familiarity with Linux or other *nix operating systems. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving. * Expert in software quality and testing methodologies. * Knowledge of test automation tools.
