Test Engineer Position Description A Test Engineer is responsible for participating in or leading a small team of test engineers in understanding product requirements and executing verification and validation activities during the software development cycle. Test tasks include, but are not limited to: analyzing product requirements, developing and executing test plans, developing and running automated validation tests, functional testing, negative testing, customer scenario testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing, and identifying defects and writing defect descriptions. The person selected for this position will be responsible for developing automated tests used to verify and validate software. Experience & Education Requirements BS/BA degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of relevant experience or Associate degree with 7+ years of experience developing software and/or automated tests or HS diploma with 11+ years of experience developing software and/or automated tests. Unique Skills Experience using PERL in a Linux environment is highly desirable.
