Staff SQA Engineer DUTIES * Act in a leadership capacity for the team, ensuring compliance and monitoring quality * Provide training, assistance and guidance to other team members, delegating and assigning work as applicable. * Review current practices and become proficient with existing regression test suites while executing on product roadmap. Provide input on and contribute to efforts to improve test planning and automation. * Develop test suites for regression of existing functionality, bug isolation, and for new functionality. * Test product features and installation based on knowledge of Unix, Linux, Oracle, Java, and/or web-based software technology. * Review functional specs and document, design and execute test plans. * Support customer operations group as an escalation point of contact for complex problems. Troubleshoot and identify complicated software issues, discovered during deployments and trials, which require detailed knowledge of software and network technology. Required Skills Qualifications/Skills/AbilitiesMinimum Formal Education: BS in Electrical or Computer Science or equivalent. Experience: 10 years experience testing and developing software including installation, test automation and test plan documentation. Experience in software development for test including automation of regression testing with the telecommunications industry.
