Energy-based Devices - QA Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Performs engineering measurements and analysis. •Contributes to and
executes engineering schedules and plans. •Instructs engineers and
technical support staff on engineering test and measurement
requirements. •Prepares cost and time estimates for engineering and
project schedules. •Supervises and prepares technician tasks and
projects as required. •Provides written reports and engineering
documentation as necessary. •Provides cost and activity accounting
period reports as necessary. •Executes tactical implementation of
strategic plans. •Assures compliance with company Standard Operating
Procedures and policies. •Participates in team decision making
•Develops team problem solving and communication skills. •Demonstrates
skill in the use and care of all tools and equipment. •Demonstrates
knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and all
other applicable standards. •Stays informed about applicable new
rules, regulations, and standards. •Writes engineering test protocols
for testing of component parts and integrated systems. •Prepares
engineering assignments, as required. •Records work in laboratory
notebook. •Oversees the preparation of Change Order System and the
signature process. •Prepares monthly progress reports on projects.
•Prepares verbal presentations for various company meetings. •Develops
and writes specifications for components/systems, product, processes,
and packaging/labeling. •Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work
area. •Follows all safety procedures. •Knowledge of advanced
measurement and equipment calibration processes •Knowledge of process
validation requirements for Medical Device Manufacturing. •Knowledge
of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Techniques •Knowledge of Change
Order System. •Knowledge of engineering documentation. •Knowledge of
engineering test protocols. •Knowledge of Regulatory requirements.
•Knowledge of company reporting structure. •Skills in personal
computer spreadsheet, word processor and engineering tools. •Ability
to carry out engineering calculations and analysis. •Ability to lead
teams through complex projects. •Ability to write engineering
documents, test protocols, laboratory notebook entries and reports.
•Ability to operate light machine tools and laboratory instruments.
•Ability to interpret displayed results on laboratory instruments.
•Ability to make oral presentations at company meetings. •Ability to
communicate effectively with internal and external personnel.
