Software Automation QA Engineer RESPONSIBILITIES · Design and develop automated test cases in C# and .NET Framework, utilizing Gallio and Watin. This includes areas such web based tests, telephony tests, web service tests, and more. · Execute test cases, analyze results and report defects for each build and release cycle. · Develop data driven test tools with ASP.NET that can be used by QA engineers, developers, and system operations. · Work closely with software developers to define test requirements and describe and isolate software defects. This includes the development of test plans and providing meaningful feedback to engineering designs and program management specifications. · Develop new tools and techniques in response to new testing requirements. QUALIFICATIONS * BS or MS in Computer Science. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * 3+ years of Quality Assurance/SQA experience with a strong focus in test automation. * 3+ years of Programming experience using C#, .NET Framework 2.0/3.0. * Experience with Unit testing frameworks: mbUnit (preferred) or nUnit, jUnit. * Strong ability to debug code, analyze failures, trace defects to the root cause. * Experience in web based technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, XML. * Working knowledge of SQL * Experience using source code control systems (SVN preferred). Additional Skills Desired * Test experience with web services, telephony, performance, network security. * ASP.NET programming experience. * Linq to SQL experience. * PowerShell scripting experience.
