Software QA Engineer Requirements: EDUCATION: Knowledge of computer science or engineering or a closely related field as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. WORK EXPERIENCE OR RELATED EXPERIENCE: Requires the knowledge, skill and ability to perform moderately complex functional, system, performance, data, integration and regression/acceptance testing of web applications with involvement in multiple full life-cycle projects, as normally obtained through a minimum of 4 years directly related experience. In addition, requires proven experience developing test plans, test procedures, test cases, and test reports, as well as experience writing automation scripts, and using automation tools such as Load Runner, Win Runner, Quick Test Pro, and Silk Test. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: A good technical knowledge in software QA design and methodologies, and the ability to write PL/SQL and create test data is required. The ability to refine existing QA processes and procedures, and the ability to implement best practices in the QA function is essential. Ability to use automated testing tool using Mercury Quick Test pro. Ability to use mercury quality center for integrated test plan and test design and submit defect using defect tracker. Requires good analytical, research, documentation, project planning and implementation skills. Incumbents must have a good understanding of the complete development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
