Quality Assurance Engineer Requirements: * BA/BS in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience). * 5+ years experience in software testing. * Experience with black-box testing. Experience with white-box testing is a plus. * Experience with Selenium. * Elementary understanding of Java. * Familiarity with Unix and scripting to support automated testing. * Experience with performance/load/stress testing. * Should have been involved in complete software development cycle. * Proven ability to develop, execute and maintain test plans and test cases. * Ability to work independently and provide excellent follow-through on tasks. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Detail oriented, strong problem solving skills. * Must be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and be a team player. * Must be creative to suggest ways of improving the product and reducing the number of defects. Desirable Experience: * Experience in testing web-based applications and middleware. * Familiarity with test automation and analysis tools * Experience with databases, especially MySQL or ProgresQL. * Ability to work in a fast- paced environment. * Experience working in fast growing startups is preferred.
