* * * * *DB2 Solutions Architect* *Location: Amarillo/Texas * *Project Duration: 1+ year* Requirement Details: Person must have years of experience with multiple software environments and be comfortable with complex legacy systems environment. Senior database technologist who designed multiple successful projects through Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile. Individual will be responsible over all database solution design and transforms that! vision through execution into the solution. This person will work very closely with key project manager & business analysts, technical leads, quality assurance leads, and system engineers throughout the life of a project as well as the *.NET/iLog solutions architect..* Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Recommend DB2 Technology, logical and physical architecture/design for all components (Data integration/batch services, data models, etc.) Designing and recommending project or release-based solutions that leverage existing database Interfacing and coordinating tasks with offshore database team, collaborating with project manager to provide estimates, and develop the overall implementation solution plan. Identifying the most technically challenging components and greatest risks of a proposed solution. Responsible for development review, integration review, testing and deployment efforts and providing database architectural support to the project team throughout quality assurance testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, go-live and warranty. Collaborating regularly with the .Net solutions architecture team members and project manager.
