Software Lead Test Engineer Essential Responsibilities # Carry out manual and automated test execution, liaising with the development group # Ensure traceability of requirements to test cases; develop a detailed test plan and lead execution of test activities according to plan # Develop tests (both manual and automated) from detailed test designs complying with coding guidelines and test architecture # Assist in prioritization and analysis of reported defects and work with development to facilitate timely closure. # Serve as an expert on testing initiatives, Six Sigma methodology, and automation processes # Establish and drive testing processes, procedures, and testing metrics while improving quality to the customer # Provide technical development for testers # Collect inputs (customer requirements, test platform specifications, third party software, etc.) from requirement tools and develop manual tests from high level design documents # Write test plans and assist with creation of test schedules and documentation through out the software lifecycle # Provide progress reporting, metrics, and analysis # Interact with development and project teams in preparing key documentation such as Product Quality Plans, development and test plans, and requirement reports # Manage test data and test environments.
