QA Engineer Responsibilities * Implement and promote a standardized QA methodology for IT Web Services and other supporting teams * Work closely with a team of web developers, database and system administrators to incorporate QA best practices into projects and production support activities * Develop and execute test scripts against new and existing web applications, services and systems * Create and maintain test cases, success criteria and application documentation * Assist with building, configuring and maintaining QA lab systems including application servers, database servers, and network infrastructure * Respond to requests and troubleshoot issues through resolution or escalation to the development team * Periodically review application logs and errors, identify problem mgmt opportunities, recommend troubleshooting procedures or code fixes * Configuration / Instance Management including virtual and physical machines * Execute load-testing scripts and analyze reports relating to performance benchmarking, test plan status, and site usage statistics * Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications * Perform other related duties as assigned * Demonstrated experience with one or more sets of application testing tools and test automation systems * Familiarity with one or more bug management systems and processes * Experience with application security testing highly desirable * BS in Computer Science or equivalent * Minimum of 5 years web industry experience as a QA engineer in a project leadership role * Demonstrated Linux experience required, some Windows experience desirable * Proficiency with at least one scripting language (JSP, Perl, etc.) for developing custom test scripts required. * Experience with PHP, Java, Subversion, RT, Visio, VMWare highly desirable * Experience with MySQL and/or MSSQL desirable Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
