QA -Test Engineer 4 to 5 years of having worked in a project environment with experience in testing Data communication protocols. This assumes The capability of the individual for achieving the scope within timelines and with quality The capability to prioritize and communicate and work in a customer environment. Specific skill sets include: Protocol knowledge: Layer 2 and 3 Testing knowledge: Be able to produce and to trace Requirement - Test approach * Test Definitions * Test Logs; Understand SQA processes. Experience with C/ C++ on formance testing is a plus. Tools knowledge: Be exposed to defect tracking. version control systems, test automation harness, debugging tools. Prior experience with ANVL or conformance tools is a plus. Experience working with Ixia, Spirent and Agilent test equipment is desirable. RFC Exposure: Be able to quickly learn protocol by reading RFC. Prior exposure to reading & interpreting RFC would be helpful. DUT Exposure: Be able to configure L2 & L3 on Multi-vendor Networking gears Coding: Good knowledge of TCL and Exposed to basic EXPECT scripting.
