Software Test Engineer 1) Work and collaborate with Test, R&D, Marketing and Product Engineering departments to validate current instruments and applications. 2) Conduct moderately complex software testing activities including the design and execution of Software test plans and test cases for data analysis software products to ensure they meet quality, reliability, and design requirements. 3) Represent QA in design, functional requirements, defect and code reviews and work as part of the QA team to maintain high quality standards. Skills 1.In-depth understanding of the SQA (Software Quality Assurance) test process and methodologies 2.Understanding of the development and testing process and lifecycles 3.Understanding of Life Science and Bioinformatics is a plus 4.Able to write and execute test plans and cases 5.Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), attention to detail, and the ability to work independently 6.Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Operating Systems (e.g. Win2K, XP, Vista, LINUX, UNIX), SilkTest, QTP or equivalent automated testing tool, and C/C++/Java programming.
