Quality Assurance Engineer Responsibility, Authority, Performance Standards: • Lead quality engineering activities for development, design, distribution and manufacture of products to ensure a high level of process and product quality. • Application of advanced quality tools such as process capability studies, gauge repeatability, design of experiments, statistical analysis to foster continuous process improvement. • Utilize six sigma methodologies and leads project teams by developing key metrics and the strategic direction. Acts as the organization’s Six Sigma technologist and internal consultant. • Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for processes, material and products. • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical or mechanical. • Devise sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instruction for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data. • Establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measuring and analytical equipment and facilities. • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. • Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. • Comply and write training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with 3 years related experience or equivalent the experience work experience required. May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application. May manage quality control program.
