Test Engineer I

SPECIFIC & ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Possesses and demonstrates a limited
use and/or application of engineering principles theories and concepts
• Possesses and demonstrates skills to develop solutions to routine
technical problems of limited scope. • Comfortably manages and
completes routine and moderately technical work assignments •
Regularly interfaces with design engineering on test related matters.
• Utilizes project timelines for engineering tasks • Designs test
setups and fixtures when required, including automated test fixtures
that utilize Programmable Logic Controllers • Schedules Test
Technician and model shop assistance with appropriate supervisor •
Sets up test devices in accordance with specifications • Conducts
validation testing on various components and systems • Conducts
regulatory and compliance testing on whole goods and accessories •
Resolves test issues/failure and document solutions in the online
problem resolution system • Sets up test machinery with data
collection instrumentation • Generates data sheets and logs as
required • Ensures that data sheets and photo information are recorded/
filed into the test documentation system • Provides basic statistical
analysis of test data/results with guidance from Test Engineer II •
Reviews/discusses test results with Senior Test Engineer for
completeness/thoroughness prior to distribution to other departments •
Conducts benchmarking tests on competitive equipment • Performs
general engineering processes and procedures such as work orders and
parts orders

SPECIFIC & ESSENTIAL DUTIES (continued): • Perform general engineering
processes and procedures such as test requests, work orders, test
incident documentation and test reports. • Occasionally provides
mentoring input to others. Looks for opportunities to assist others
toward improving their skills and/or understanding of technical or
process related issues on their work projects.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering
