Sr. Test Analyst Responsibilities: * Author and execute system, integration, regression tests * Conduct extensive Risk-based and Exploratory Testing * Stay actively and highly engaged with your assigned project team * Confidently and objectively describe project risks during daily stand-ups * Establish and nurture collaborative working relationships at every opportunity * Proactively take ownership of project testing and drive related issues in daily stand-ups * Produce objective Test Status Reports for project stakeholders at Sprint Initiation points * Ensure that User Stories are accurate and sufficiently detailed to validate and verify * Ensure that non-functional stories are adequately detailed * Identify opportunities for working smarter and more proficiently * Take ownership of learning and of self-training – share what you learn with your peers * Work with the project team to ensure sufficient time for testing exists in the project schedule * Coordinate and lead work product reviews where the activity adds the greatest value * Drive and track issues through to resolution and leverage their status in decision support * Offer innovative insight wherever possible and provide feedback to the product team * 6+ years of software testing experience, a BA/BS would be a great added accomplishment * Working knowledge of relational database queries will demonstrate technical competence * With your team, willing to provide occasional after hours or weekend test support * Familiar with Agile/Scrum testing and development – or can speak Agile/Scrum and learn it * Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails (RoR), Java, JSP, PHP, .NET (and eager to learn more) * Social media savvy with solid experience testing web applications, RSS, multimedia, blogs * Knowledge/experience of web technologies, internet protocols, HTML, SSL * Experience soliciting non-functional testing requirements and authoring non-functional stories * Keen understanding of software troubleshooting techniques * Proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships with developers and end-users * Proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships with the testing team members * Proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships with product owners/ stakeholders * Strong understanding of JIRA for defects, stories, burn down and backlog management * UNIX experience is a plus – or knowledge of UNIX UIs that enable UNIX success * Ability to duplicate testing success across multiple projects simultaneously * Understand basic quality and testing metrics and their use in decision support * Eager to learn and adopt Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development practices Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
