Software QA Automation Engineer # Continue developing our automated test harness for regression on Firmware, Hardware and Software # Develop, Review and improve existing test plans to improve functional coverage, gaps in prior testing and regressions # Execute manual testing on applications to understand what must be automated # Track and communicate testing/development status # Partner with Engineering to plan for new functionality, resolve defects, and incorporate fault isolation test methodologies for automation. Qualifications # Independent, hard working, creative, focused, and organized # 3+ years of experience scripting with Perl, Perl Object understanding # The ability to learn a new languages/API's if needed # Good understanding of the software development process, software design, data flow and bottlenecks # Flexibility to work on multiple project streams simultaneously # Excellent verbal and written communications skills # Automation Framework development # Distributed applications, client/server, RMI # Familiarity with Open-source Software & Tools Highly Desired Skills: # Experience in the NAS/SAN Storage Environment # Five or more years working in automation # Expertise in networking or storage across multiple operating systems, including Windows and various UNIX/Linux based platforms # QA Background # Background with OO design principles # Shell programming, VB script, WMI, UNIX shells # Python, and/or C programming.
