Test Engineer * Develop and execute system, integration, regression and performance/ load tests. * Author and construct test scripts and test plans for all assigned projects * Review, revise and execute test cases * Responsible for raising red flags for project blockers within a reasonable timeline * Ensure that functional requirements are adequately validated and verified * Ensure that non-functional requirements are adequately validated and verified * Assist in the monitoring of adherence to the Software Development Process * Manage the promotion of code to the respective environments * Work with the project managers to define testing requirements and schedules * Assist in the design and management of the configuration management process * Coordinate and conduct work product reviews at planned project milestones * Develop, maintain and manage utilities to monitor issue tracking/resolution * Assist product managers with the creation of functional and technical specs * Review requirements, develop & execute tests for the newspaper feeds * Perform other duties as assigned * 6+ years of general software testing experience, Bachelor’s Degree in CS preferred * Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL a plus * Able to provide some after hour or weekend support for releases and issue resolution * Must have Agile/Scrum Methodology and associated tools experience * Experience with the following: Java, JSP, RoR, PHP * 3+ years experience testing browser-based applications * Experience using SilkPerformer, SilkTest and QTP testing tools * Keen understanding of software troubleshooting techniques * Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with Dev and end-users * Must demonstrate process improvement and change management experience * Sun Solaris experience is a plus * Knowledge/experience of web technologies, Internet protocols, Oracle, UNIX, Windows/NT, HTML, Visual Basic, VB script and Java Script a plus * Proactively take ownership of projects and follow up with developers and PM’s * Must be able to manage working on multiple projects simultaneously * Experience with Phase Gate and entry/exit criteria and tracking * Knowledgeable about basic quality and testing metrics and their use * MUST hold 1 or more active certifications in testing or quality assurance Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
