Software Tester * Verify that software functions according to functional and user requirements and software design specifications; * Assist in the testing of systems, modules and prototypes; * Report all defects in the group’s defect tracking tool; * Conduct ongoing regression and integration testing of the product; * Write, maintain and execute system test plans; * Perform installations, configurations and executions of verification procedures; * Explore new methods for software verification and validation; * Work with Development and Technical teams to efficiently troubleshoot problems; * Assist in driving escalation process within Support; * Review installation, upgrade and system manuals; * Create Functionality vs. Requirements Traceability Matrices and Test Environment Matrices; * Maintain the QA testing environments; * Adhere to Merge Healthcare engineering practices; * Perform other duties as assigned by immediate manager. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office or other office automation software tools; * Good time management skills; * Familiarity with defect tracking software packages; * Sound understanding of Software Quality Assurance methods; * Excellent computer/systems skills; * Excellent oral and written communication skills; * Accuracy and strong attention to detail is essential; * Ability to respond to urgent situations appropriately by prioritization; * Ability to follow up with individuals without guidance; * Strong analytical and process skills. # Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent level of industry related experience; # Three (3) years Software testing experience.
