QA ENGINEER • College degree in a computer science related major or 4 years of equivalent work experience in QA or computing • Proficiency operating in a Windows and/or Unix/Linux OS environments • Understanding of Internet applications (D/HTML, Javascript, ASP, JSP) • Proficiency with SQL or Oracle (construct and execute moderately complex queries) • High level of proficiency with at least one internal application • Proficiency with toolsets: o Defect tracking: Request System, ClearQuest or like o Source Code Control: ClearCase, Visual Source Safe or like o Load and Stress Testing: Compuware QALoad or like • Understanding of the SDLC and departmental software processes • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to act independently on moderately complex assignments and execute project tasks utilizing multiple resources • Ability to participate in process and quality brainstorming activities • Ability to define test strategies and test plans • Ability to identify and solve problems of moderate complexity • Ability to work on multiple projects/assignments concurrently under aggressive deadlines • Ability to coach and mentor other QA engineers • Develop and execute test plans and reports for a defined project • Requirements elaboration and analysis for purposes of providing appropriate test collateral • Adhere to a structured work environment while able to adapt to periodic high pressure scenarios • Assist in estimates, project plans, technical evaluations, timelines and risk analysis • Support the organization with research initiatives to improve quality of Harte-Hanks systems and products • Work estimation and personal time/schedule management • Use of task and defect management systems • Integral participation in team meetings and collaborative efforts • Effective utilization of appropriate resources to fulfill responsibilities • Coaching and mentoring staff Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
