Software Quality Analyst 1. Work closely with other technical teams to ensure system solutions meets required specifications 2. Translate business, functional and technical design documentation into test scenarios, use cases and test scripts 3. Follow testing standards and methodologies while designing, developing and executing detailed test cases 4. Follow structured system testing strategies/methodologies for assigned projects and governance around testing processes 5. Create and design test cases, test suites, test data bed to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow 6. Use experience with relational databases and SQL to write and execute SQL queries for backend testing 7. Collaborate with clients, team leaders, users, and IT staff to develop and maintain program specific reporting solutions 8. Collaborate with clients, team leaders, users and IT staff to coordinate business simulation testing 9. Perform system, integration, regression, and performance testing utilizing test management tools and adhering to test methodology. 10. Performs the set-up of test bed data and scenarios to replicate OPS production environment in the test region. 11. Participates in requirement review and status meetings, as needed. 12. Responsible for managing multiple small or medium testing projects and prioritizing tasks as necessary 13. Perform related duties as assigned 1. Strong understanding of SDLC 2. Familiarity with health insurance industry and operations a plus 3. Must have good understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL, with ability to write SQL queries for backend database testing and to use SQL scripts for testing of data 4. Experience with manual testing required 5. Must possess strong front-end functional testing and back-end database testing experience 6. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills 7. Must possess strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 9. Experience with Access and SQL Server 10. Must be very detail oriented with the ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented development environment 11. Have working knowledge in designing, creating, and administering testing plans, scripts and traceability matrices 12. Have working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems (for example: Windows 2000, XP) and testing Windows Application, .NET, Web Portal and reporting Solutions 13. Have experience creating and maintaining technical documentation 14. Preferred experience with coordination of testing activities 15.
