Fire Testing Research Engineer SUMMARY: Work within an interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to perform engineering or scientific investigations requiring application of standard fire testing techniques and procedures; assist in the performance, planning, and development of research and testing services in the area of fire technology. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with 2 years experience with material testing in a flame environment. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, be dependable and self-motivated and have a positive attitude toward working in a team. Must be able to exercise good judgment, diligence and care with attention to detail. Previous fire testing experience and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point is a plus. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
