Senior QA Engineer * Design and implementation of large scale system test networks, including traffic tools, monitoring and reporting equipment. * Collaborate with development and support teams to exercise and stress product feature sets in complex customer-like networks. * Continuous improvement of tools and methodology by working with other QA teams, our field systems engineers, and support staff. * Analysis of customer issues, bug fixes and new features to provide continued system level test coverage improvement. * Working with software and hardware development teams to design for testability * Active participation in the QA process, including test case and test plan creation and review * Participation in collaborative product design teams. * Gather and analyze test results, create comprehensive test reports * Keep at the forefront of test technologies and methodologies * Hands-on experience in product quality and system level testing. * Ability to design, write and implement product and system level test plans and test cases. * Excellent knowledge of network design, the TCP/ IP stack, as well as networking and application protocols. * Experience configuring a wide variety of network equipment from switches and routers to gateways, proxies and firewalls. * Experience with network probes, monitors, traffic generators (Spirent, IXIA etc.) and the ability to troubleshoot using network analyzers. * Experience with commonly deployed operating systems Linux/Unix required, Windows a plus. * Knowledge and previous experience with automation using a scripting language; Perl and/or Python preferred. * Strong problem solving, communication, organizational and prioritization skills. * Ability to anticipate user requirements and define user workflows. * Demonstrated ability to complete tasks independently with minimum supervision. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math. * Experience deploying and/or testing production systems is highly desirable.
