Staff Test Engineer Required background: # MS or BS in computer engineering or computer science # 6 years professional experience in software testing or development # Working knowledge of evaluation methods used in the design, development, and debugging and testing of hardware and software systems # Excellent written and verbal skills Software Test Engineering Required skills: # Early project scoping including collaboration with R&D, marketing, and engineering teams, review of proposed technologies, development of test strategies, and contribution of proposals for testability # Team leadership including project planning, resource loading, test progress monitoring, and resource training and development # Test planning including test coverage, test approach, resource requirements, budget requirements, scheduling, risk assessment, and report metrics # Tool implementation for test management, test execution, and test reporting # Test design including equivalence class partitioning, combinatorics, use distributions, fuzz testing, heuristics, tractability matrices, and control flow # Test execution including, functional testing, regression testing, stress testing, and load testing # Test tracking including test progress, results, artifacts, and defects # Defect management including an ability to produce high quality defect reports using defect tracking tools such as Jira, DevTrack, and Bugzilla Test Automation Programming Expected skills: # Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems # C/C++ and Java programming languages # HTML, XML markup languages # Bash, Perl, Python, and TCL scripting languages # HTML XML Network protocols including TCP/IP, SSH, SLP, NTP, FTP, PPP, Web Services, SNMP, and SOAP # Test automation tools such as Test Complete, QF-Test, soapUI, etc. Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
