Software QA Engineer

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

* BS or MS in Computer Science or related field of education

* 4+ yrs. of software product testing experience in an organization
that uses industry accepted standards and processes.

* Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

* High degree of creativity, persistence and abstract reasoning skills

* Good architectural skills; knack for determining inconsistencies
with products and documents

* Strong problem-solving skills; skillful at focusing on the solution,
not the problem

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Attention to detail and a passion for detail-oriented work

* Should thrive in a fast-paced, task driven environment

* Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Product Management and
Product Marketing

* Working proficiency with coding in two or more scripting languages:
PHP, ASP, TSL, Silk, Perl

* Experience developing and executing tests for validating compliance
to a quality standard

* Well versed in standard QA methodologies including white box/black
box testing, unit, functional, use-case, load, stress, performance,
and regression testing

* Working knowledge of Windows and Linux from testing, developing, and
system administration perspectives

* Working knowledge of networking technologies and protocols such as
SMTP, SNMP, TCP, UDP
