Quality Assurance Analyst * Participate in story requirements, design, estimation and test approach discussions * Participate in the creation and ongoing maintenance of test documentation and test plans * Collaborate with the development team and business partners throughout the development life-cycle * Work with the QA and development teams to create test data sets which fully exercise data validation and end-to-end system functionality * Validate code changes in various technologies (Java, Oracle, Informatica, MicroStrategy, etc.) * Write and execute SQL queries to validate actual test results match expected results * Identify and log defects if/when a test fails, if necessary, using SQL to narrow down the root cause of the problem for efficient investigation by the development team and log accordingly * Participate in stress testing activities, in collaboration with the development and production teams, to ensure satisfactory performance of system processing and end-user reporting * Bachelor’s degree * 2+ years QA experience in high-tech software development or commercial web based software products * Experience with manual testing methodologies of complex systems * Experience with Agile development methodologies * Knowledge of database concepts and ability to write SQL queries to retrieve specific data sets * Familiarity with layered testing principles (e.g., unit testing, system testing, parallel testing) * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering * Ability to apply SQL knowledge to complex scenarios * Experience with Java, Informatica or MicroStrategy * Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Watir, etc.) * Knowledge of health care data * Experience in DataWarehousing/Data Modeling * Analytical reasoning and aptitude with quantitative analysis (MS Access and Excel experience) * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written Thank you, Team SQAFYI - Software QA Resource FYI http://sqa.fyicenter.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Software Quality Assurance Center" group.
