Senior Quality Engineer-IT * Quality assurance best practices, test methodologies and techniques such as TMap, RUP or Agile * Knowledge of Fixed Income instruments and industry experience is highly preferred. * Demonstrated skills in dealing with ambiguity, systems specification analysis, test plan formulation, test scripts and test case creation * Developing re- usable manual test cases to adequately test applications * Estimating the testing impact of new requirements * Executing test activities that span from requirements to the testing stage of the SDLC * Demonstrated leadership for multiple project test management, design, issues tracking and resolution, creation and execution of test cases/ scripts * Preparation and proactive communication of status reports to project teams and stakeholders including system changes, issues and potential impact analysis * Excellent verbal and written communication skills that non-technical end users can understand * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills * Excellent business acumen with desired to drive for results * System testing techniques including functional, integration, regression and UAT testing * Batch cycle testing techniques through various data feeds * Web based and client/server applications experience * Test management tools (Quality Center preferred) * Defect tracking tools (Clear Quest preferred) * Creating and maintaining automated test cases (a plus) * Administration of test automation, management and defect tracking tools * Minimum 5 - 10 years QA experience for a critical business application.
