Software Quality Analyst Works under the direction of the Manager, System Test to develop and maintain test plans; develops manual and automated test cases and associated test scripts for software application projects. Performs assigned testing as per the Test Plan. Documents and reports all discovered problems. Executes regression tests for revised applications. Maintains records of all application testing. Prepares reports summarizing testing results. Implements available testing tools. Collaborates with developers and users to optimize testing, defect isolation and defect tracking. Works with Manager to develop and maintain schedules for assigned projects. Participates in a planned program of professional development to remain current with industry and technology developments. Undertakes other duties as assigned. Requirements: -Bachelor*s degree required, preferably computer related. -1 year of experience as a software tester with emphasis on writing test plans and test scripts required. -1 year of experience with web-enabling technologies, including web enterprise servers, web programming languages, SQL databases and exposure to client/server development required. -Experience with end-to-end software system testing required. -Understanding of the software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies and testing methodologies required. -Familiarity with current technologies is desired; especially in complex, transaction-intensive web-based systems highly desired, preferable utilizing SOA techniques implemented using Java, PHP, Cold Fusion, Oracle PL/SQL, XML or Web Services experience is preferred. -Experience with Mercury*s Quality Center, QuickTest Professional and WinRunner preferred.
