Quality Engineer Daily overview of production and new product introduction activities. Continuous interface with the customer on Quality issues. Responsible for generating reports, improving Quality performance, and customer satisfaction through process improvement techniques such as SPC, FMEA, DOE, Lean manufacturing etc. Develops, applies, revises and maintains quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment. Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action. Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures. Analyzes and verifies effectiveness of process controls. Job Requirements: 5 years experience, Bachelors of Science, Coursework or project background with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Quality Control (QC) procedures and quality tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Design of Experiments (DOE). Six Sigma and/or Lean-Kaizen experience is a plus. Education: B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering or related, employer will accept a B.S. and 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in computer skills. Personable, must interface well with customers.
