Hello everyone,
This sprint the team did: About Software Factory: ================= We worked on removing our dependency to eDeploy for upgrade and image building and in the meantime we created new CI playbooks for testing Software Factory by discarding the need to run our tests through LXC. We succeeded to cover all our legacy functional tests via the new sf-ci project as well we succeeded to simulate Software Factory upgrade w/o the eDeploy image upgrade model but only with Yum + Ansible. Now this make Software Factory a real RPMs distribution. In sf-ci we use ARA to get a nice overview of CI tasks. http://46.231.132.68:8080/v1/AUTH_b50e80d3969f441a8b7b1fe831003e0a/sfartifacts/40/8040/2/check/sf-ci-upgrade-minimal/1b87d7e/artifacts/ara-report/index.html A proof of concept is in progress to support ZuulV3 into Software Factory. The firehose feature of Software Factory is in the stabilization phase and we started to use it in production. A first usage of it have been developed in the form of a platform events Desktop notifier. https://pasteboard.co/dDQYZvBP4.png As production SF deployments support nodepool-builder and DIB images we helped SF users to migrate their images to DIB. About RDO: ========= review.rdoproject.org was migrated to Software Factory 2.5.0, with a dedicated nodepool-builder node. Firehose was activated in review.rdoproject.org. We completed the replicated DB setup for DLRN, and migrated our first worker to use it. DLRN is now published in PyPi, and work has started on a UI to check CI votes using the DLRN API. The Mitaka release is now EOL. About RDOPKG: ============ The project is migrating to softwarefactory-project.io. Legacy exception code was refactored. Quality of life improvements were implemented. Other: ==== We worked on the nodepool-drivers spec to support different provider, such as static node or OpenContainer (runC) slaves Recording link: https://redhat.bluejeans.com/m/xLabh/
