Folks, We've updated the public 4over6 draft to -06 version.
The major modification from -04 version(-05 version is just an intermediate version) includes: 1.Remove the content of DHCP over tunnel issue and form a dedicated document for that. See https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-cui-softwire-dhcp-over-tunnel/ 2.Add use case analysis(section 4.2). 3.Change the address mapping maintaining method, from DHCP-driven updating on concentrator to pinhole procedure by initiators. Comments and feedbacks are solicited and appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------- From:internet-drafts Date:2011-07-09 01:22:15 To:weapon CC:chmetz; weapon; olivier; yong; yiu_lee; jianping Subject:New Version Notification for draft-cui-softwire-host-4over6-06.txt A new version of I-D, draft-cui-softwire-host-4over6-06.txt has been successfully submitted by Peng Wu and posted to the IETF repository. Filename: draft-cui-softwire-host-4over6 Revision: 06 Title: Public IPv4 over Access IPv6 Network Creation date: 2011-07-08 WG ID: Individual Submission Number of pages: 17 Abstract: This draft proposes a mechanism for bidirectional IPv4 communication between IPv4 Internet and end hosts or IPv4 networks sited in IPv6 access network. This mechanism follows the softwire hub and spoke model and uses IPv4-over-IPv6 tunnel as basic method to traverse IPv6 network. By allocating public IPv4 addresses to end hosts/networks in IPv6, it can achieve IPv4 end-to-end bidirectional communication between these hosts/networks and IPv4 Internet. This mechanism is an IPv4 access method for hosts and IPv4 networks sited in IPv6.
