Yep, there are two ways to reduce sultatation.

1. Give the battery a good load. Something like 10A for 20 minutes. Watch
out the battery will boil.
This will shake the cristals lose and they will sink to the bottom. 

2. Add some Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid (EDTA) to the electrolite
this will disolve small cristals
Commercial names of this are 'YUASA sulfate stop','Longa-batt',....
